Not quite as windy as yesterday but I still rigged smaller kit as I was far too overpowered yesterday. This time I went out on my 5m and little wave board. First few runs were nice, maxed out but in control. Then the cold set in and my hands were in agony. I had to get off the water for a bit and couldn't do anything with them, it felt as though I had done some serious, permanent damage, but they soon warmed back up and I put a pair of palmless gloves on and went back out. This time my hands were OK and I felt warm enough out there (except for the ice-cream headache on any runs following a dunking), but then the wind went ballistic and there was just no way I could hang on to my 5m. I did think about changing down to my 3.4m but its no fun pfaffing around rigging in those temperatures so I called it a day.
